Sammy is a darling blond, 2 year old Shih Tzu boy who is ready for his forever home. Sammy walks well on a leash and doesn't pull. He knows how to sit when asked and he is very playful. He is a very calm boy and quite the snuggle bug. He is not crazy about cages but is pad trained. He will potty outdoors if you take him there. He is missing an eye that he lost as a pup but he gets along fine without it and it has been properly closed. He likes to sleep with his person at night if he can. Other than being a bit protective of his food he gets along with other dogs but he would do fine as an only dog we believe. He is fully vetted and ready to become part of a new family. Sammy is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Sammy's adoption fee is $400 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue.
